Introducing Our New IRL Comms Channel!
Be free to get involved

Hey, Alpha Unit legends!
We all know that gaming brings us together in some of the most epic ways possible. From the thrill of battle to building crazy worlds in Minecraft, we’ve shared laughs, victories, and a fair share of hilariously bad defeats. But sometimes, it’s just nice to pause the action, take off the headset, and connect on a more human level. After all, we’re more than just a gaming community—we’re a family.
So, with that in mind, we’re rolling out a new addition to our Discord: the IRL (In Real Life) Chat channel. Think of it as your cosy corner of the Alpha Unit community, a space where you can pop in, say hi, and catch up about life beyond the controller or keyboard.
Whether you’re waiting for a match to start, sitting on the bus, grabbing a quick coffee, or just feeling like a chat, this channel is for you. No need to wait for a game to have a reason to jump on comms. Maybe you’ll find Fly, aka Slippery Sally, lurking about—don’t worry, he doesn’t bite (much). Or perhaps Maz, Beardy, or Tazmomo might drop in for a quick laugh or some uplifting words. The idea is simple: come as you are, even if it’s just for five minutes, and enjoy the company of your fellow gamers.
We’re not just here to frag enemies or mine blocks. We’re here to lift each other up, share our lives, and foster a space where every member of Alpha Unit feels supported and valued. Life’s ups and downs hit us all, and sometimes, a quick hello or a kind word can make a world of difference.
Let’s use the IRL Chat to make this incredible community even stronger. This is your space to:
• Share your day.
• Shoot the breeze.
• Offer words of encouragement.
• Or just check in with the people who’ve become more than teammates—they’re your friends.
So, whether you’re gearing up for battle or just sitting back and relaxing, know that the IRL Chat is here for you. Jump in, say hello, and let’s keep building something extraordinary together.
Alpha Unit: More Than Gaming—It’s Connection.
See you in the comms!
Much love,
Fly (Slippery Sally) and the Alpha Admins
