Help Us Test PhotoBanked. Your Gaming Night, Everyone’s Best Moments

Alpha crew, I’ve a small favour to ask—and you can do it while having a gaming night with your mates.

I’d love a few of you to give PhotoBanked a proper try. Create a little event, invite each other in and use it to collect the screenshots, photos and supported video clips from your evening together.

A Minecraft building session. A multiplayer night. A particularly disastrous attempt at teamwork. It doesn’t need to be a wedding or a big organised occasion. A few friends making memories is plenty.

What is PhotoBanked?

PhotoBanked brings an event’s pictures together in one shared place. The host creates an event, shares the joining details or QR code, and guests contribute their own moments. Its live wall gives the event a shared display, with moderation options for reviewing submissions.

Instead of everyone’s best moments vanishing into separate camera rolls and miles of chat, the idea is to collect them around the event they belong to. The public site explains the journey from creating an event to sharing, reviewing and displaying contributions.

See how PhotoBanked works

Give it a small, real-world test

  1. Create a gaming event. Head to PhotoBanked, get started and give your event a recognisable name—“Alpha Minecraft: Questionable Architecture” would do nicely.
  2. Invite a few friends. Share the event’s joining details in your gaming chat. Try joining from another device as a guest, too.
  3. Add a few screenshots and photos. Show off a build, capture the scoreboard, or share a picture of your gaming setup. A majestic dirt hut deserves its moment.
  4. Try a short video clip where the upload options support it. Follow the formats and size limits shown. If video isn’t available on your event or plan, let me know what you see—don’t pay for an upgrade just for this test.
  5. Invite each other to contribute. We want to see the same night through several people’s eyes, not just the host’s.
  6. Check the results together. Can you find everyone’s uploads? Does the live wall display approved content as expected? Is it obvious what to do next?

The homepage currently offers a free starting plan. Check the current limits before setting up your test and keep the group small. This is an invitation to help test the experience, not an ask to buy a subscription.

Tell me what works—and what’s a pain

You don’t need to be technical. “I pressed this and got stuck” is useful feedback. “It’s broken” becomes much more useful when I know which bit!

  • Was creating or joining the event straightforward?
  • Did the invite link or QR code make sense?
  • Did screenshots and photos upload properly and look right afterwards?
  • For clips, was it clear what was supported and why an upload might fail?
  • Did moderation and the live wall behave the way you expected?
  • Was anything awkward on your phone, tablet or computer?

Send feedback in Alpha’s Discord and tag Fly. Include your device and browser, what you tried, what you expected and what actually happened. A screenshot of an error is brilliant—just keep passwords, private messages and other personal details out of it.

Use your own media, get permission before sharing identifiable friends, and keep private event links within the group you mean to invite. Normal use is the goal: no spam uploads and no trying to flatten the server for sport. I know some of you.

ALPHA GAMING NIGHT — SCREENSHOTS OR IT DIDN’T HAPPEN

We’re getting together for [game or activity] on [day, time and time zone], and giving PhotoBanked a test while we’re at it.

I’ve created an event so we can collect everyone’s screenshots, photos and any short clips supported by the uploader. Great builds, glorious wins, terrible decisions—all welcome.

Event code, if needed: [code]

Jump in, add a few moments from the night and share the invitation with the mates taking part so they can add theirs too. You don’t need professional photos. We’d quite like evidence of the house you insist is “nearly finished”.

If anything is confusing or doesn’t work, tell us what happened and which device you’re using. That’s part of the point: have the craic and help improve the thing.

Only share media you’re happy for the event group to see. Respect other people’s privacy, and keep it friendly.

See you in voice chat. Bring your best screenshots and your worst excuses.

A few minutes would genuinely help

Trying a platform yourself is one thing. Watching other people use it in ways you hadn’t thought of is where you find out what needs fixing.

So if you’ve a gaming night coming up, give PhotoBanked a go. Create an event, bring a few friends and let me know how you get on. Honest feedback is far more useful than being polite about a button that makes no sense.
